Whether that means returning to a strong, console-rooted identity, fully embracing an everywhere-play playbook, or inventing something genuinely new depends on the humility to learn from what didn’t work and the courage to pick a clearer direction. The next year will be decisive: rhetoric about “the return of Xbox” needs follow-through in product roadmaps, studio support, and messaging that players can actually understand.
